Beeley Wood: Treecreeper - 2 - Foraging in fungi on tree trunk by River Don

Fulwood garden: Blackcap - 1 - female again at feeders after a few days' absence ; Brambling - 10 - around feeders

Green Moor: House Sparrow - 40+ - feeding on lawn and feeders ; Tree Sparrow - 10+ - on feeders and lawn

Kimberworth: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Female sat on garden fence for a few minutes.

New Stubbin: Song Thrush - 1 - singing on Roman Ridge

Old Ravenfield.: Linnet - 500+ - Large flock down on farmland between Arbour Lane and Firsby some ; Chaffinch - 5+ - With Linnet Flock. ; Pied Wagtail - 7 - Feeding on bare ground on corner of Arbour Lane. ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - Male along Arbour Lane.

R Sheaf, Heeley: Mandarin - 1m - 1m - Broadfield Road

Ravenfield: Skylark - 1 - Singing. ; Golden Plover - 19 - Single calling bird circled over farmland between woods and Ravenfield Primary school joined by several small flocks, making 19 in total. Did not land.

Rawmarsh; fields to W: Red-legged Partridge - 20 - single covey

Redmires: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Flying low over fields

Redmires conduit: Lapwing - 50+ - Battling the hail showers

RVCP, Main Lake: Oystercatcher - 2 - first returning birds,,,, a pair attempted to nest but failed.

R Don, Effingham St: Goosander - 6 - 2m, 4f. Feeding on bread competing with BHG's, not seen this before.

Tankersley: Treecreeper - 1 - 1st record for garden in Pilley, extreme N edge of area. Seen twice in last week.
