  • Aldwarke; Waddington Way: Magpie - 10+ - engaged in territorial/display behaviour
  • Barlow Common: Barn Owl - 1 ; Skylark - 03-Apr - 1-2 singing ; Linnet - 3 ; Pheasant - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 2 ; Stock Dove - 6
  • Brownhills Lane: Barn Owl - 1 - hunting late afternoon, mobbed by Magpies after successful dive onto prey. ; Canada Goose - 68 ; Oystercatcher - 2 - among Canadas
  • Derwentdale: Crossbill - 22 - Mainly in small parties max size 4 ; 319 - 4+ - up together ; Black-headed Gull - 49 - moving north up the valley without return
  • Elsecar Res: Goosander - 6 - 3m, 3f
