  • Middleton Moor: Ringed Plover - 2 ; Wheatear - 2 ; Shelduck - 2 - juvs ; 320 - 6 ; Ringed Plover - 2 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1000+ ; Yellow-legged Gull - 3+ - at least 3 adult types ; Shelduck - 2 - juvs ; Common Gull - 1 - 2cy ; Herring Gull - 1 ; 320 - 11 ; Moorhen - 2 - juvs ; Knot - 1 - looked like an ad winter rather than juv, dropped in c20:00 in poor weather, mildly harrassed by BHG and joined 2 Ringed Plovers for a while, still present at dusk amongst BHG's on mud.

  • Thrybergh CP: Osprey - 1 - c09:00 - drifted slowly from east to west across the main bay and west arm at between 75 and 100 feet before turning round. Over Doncaster Point it started to circle upwards and disappeared in heavy cloud.
  • Walkley garden: Willow Warbler - 2 - 2 in birch and snowberry with 4 blue tit
  • Wentworth Park; Mausoleum Plantn: Sparrowhawk - 1 - soaring over briefly
  • Whirlow Hall Farm: Goldfinch - 60+ - 50+ on big patch of thistles in Christmas tree area, plus small parties elsewhere ; Swallow - 20+

  • Aldwarke: Mute Swan - 3 - SW @ 0746hrs
  • Aldwarke; Liberty Steel: Cormorant - 1 - on pylon
  • Big Moor: 324 - 2 - Young Red Deer Stags
  • Brinsworth: 319 - 1 - Low over railway lines, Barrett estate.
  • Calver Mill: Mandarin - 38 - In field next to camp-site
  • Ecclesall: Willow Warbler - 1 - in Church Yard ; Swift - 1 - Flew S
  • Firsby Res: Grey Heron - 1 - Flushed from main Res. ; Kingfisher - 1 - Flew over sluice and settled on reed at end of main Res. ; Black-headed Gull - 250+ - Flushed from ploughed field by Juv Peregrine. ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 30+ - With BHG. ; Swift - 2 ; Swallow - 2 ; Swallow - 2 ; 319 - 1 - Soaring over site. ; Kestrel - 2 ; Peregrine - 1 - Juv in stoop which flushed BHG flock. ; Song Thrush - 1 ; Treecreeper - 1 - Calling near road.
  • Fulwood: Blue Tit - 6+ - visiting bird bath in observer's garden
  • Longshaw: Kestrel - 1
  • Millhouses: House Sparrow - 45+ - Flock In the observer's garden. Another good breeding season with young fledged from at least four nests on the premises.
  • Morehall Res: Cormorant - 5 ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1
