Midhope Res: Oystercatcher - 5 - Adults with 3 fledglings feeding by waters edge. Adult carrying food from nearby fields too.

Millhouses: House Sparrow - 12 - 7 juveniles - breeding colony reestablished in observers house after absence of two decades

moorland fringe: Nightjar - 1 - Brief churring/wing clap around 10pm

Poolsbrook CP: Great Crested Grebe - 2 - pair on nest, apparently taken over from Coots ; Canada Goose - 20+ - including pair with 3 chicks ; Greylag Goose - 10+ - including pair with 4 chicks

Poolsbrook Marsh: Pochard - 2 - pair on S pool ; Reed Warbler - 7 - including 5 singing males on 3 separate pools (3 on reedbed around main lake) ; Mallard - 1+ - female with 2 chicks on main lake ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Gadwall - 1 - male on lake by Great Bear factory - breeding?
