moorland fringe: Nightjar - 3+ - 3 churring males at two sites.

Mosborough: Red Kite - 1 - over towards Quarry Hill

Orgreave Lakes: Sedge Warbler - 1 - Male singing and song-flighting along northern shore. ; Garden Warbler - 1 - Singing and feeding in Willows near Bridge, Treeton side 07.30 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - Juvenile on river rapids.

Padley Gorge: Cuckoo - 1 - moorland fringe

Pebley Pond: Mute Swan - 2+ - Resident pr + 7 cygnets, now one week old ; Oystercatcher - 2 ; Common Tern - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Canada Goose - c32 - including two pairs with eleven goslings ; Grey Heron - 2 ; Gadwall - 2 - m + f, no sign of breeding attempt.

R Don, Effingham St: Canada Goose - 4 - including regular breeding pair with 2 goslings, so nest was successful after all.

Ramsley Res: Cuckoo - 1 - Male calling on and off for an hour. Male seen flying in birch tree near woodland.
