Dog Kennel Pond: Mallard - 100+ - N edge, unfrozen patch ; Coot - 10+ - among Mallards ; Black-headed Gull - 40+ - resting on frozen centre of lake

Ecclesfield: Grey Heron - 1 ; Fieldfare - 15 - Butterthwaite Lane, - flock flew towards Blackburn Brook with Redwings.

Fulwood: Lapwing - 6 - Flew N over house early afternoon. Cold weather movement and garden tick.

Handsworth: Pink-footed Goose - c120 - NW at 10:15

Handsworth Garden: Black-headed Gull - 2 - landed on garden path to eat bread

Low Common: Fieldfare - 10 - from hedge

Mayfield Valley: Kestrel - 1 - flew into barn, presumably looking for shelter
