Middleton Moor: Greylag Goose - 10 - ads & young ; Canada Goose - 5 - pair with 3 well-grown young ; Shelduck - 8 - pair with 6 young ; Black-headed Gull - 9 - ads ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 255 - c. roosted ; Yellow-legged Gull - 3 - 2 ads & a 2CY roosted ; Lapwing - 81 ; Curlew - 65 - c. roosted on No. 4 lagoon ; Sand Martin - 65 - c. roosted in reedbed ; Swift - 1 - flew W at dusk ; Reed Warbler - 2 - singing ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 1 - singing by hide on No.4 lagoon

Moss Valley: Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - Singing near High Lane. First site record for 10 years.

Orgreave Lakes: BLACK-NECKED GREBE - 1 - Adult on main lake early morning. ; Redshank - 1 - Full grown juv around small lake with adult close by.

Outer Edge: Snipe - 2 - flushed at 518m, unusual this high presumably due to dry conditions lower down.

Peat Pits: Lapwing - 3 - plus one fledged juv.

Stanedge Pole: Linnet - 3 - On long causeway path up to the pole ; Curlew - 2 - Adult + young ; Kestrel - 1 ; Mistle Thrush - 2

Sugden Clough: Ring Ouzel - 1 - singing ; Stonechat - 2 - pair

Wharncliffe Heath NR: Nightjar - 2 - male churring/wing clapping and female ; Woodcock - 5+ - roding

Agden Rocher: Pied Flycatcher - 2 - pair still feeding nestbox, juv(s) visible inside ; Redstart - 2+ - male and fem at least

Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 3 - 3 in the air together at 1550
