Firsby Res: Swallow - 30+ - Over pastures and cereal fields adjacent to the site. ; Goldfinch - 10+ ; Jackdaw - 9 ; Carrion Crow - 4

Green Moor: Chaffinch - 6+ - At least one family party ; Collared Dove - 3 - Adult and 2 juvs ; Great Tit - 5+ - Juveniles present ; Tree Sparrow - 10+ - At least two broods - bred ; Greenfinch - 6+ - Juveniles present - bred

Old Ravenfield: House Martin - c30 - Around St James church, over paddock adjacent, a lot of juveniles. ; Skylark - 04-May ; Swallow - c10 - Over wheat field. ; Swift - 40+ - Over village.

Padley Gorge: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Perched on a tree trunk just down the path into the woods. Watched for about 10 minutes.

R Don, Effingham St: Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - 1st year on weir late morning ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 80 ; Herring Gull - 5 ; Black-headed Gull - 20 ; Grey Wagtail - 2 - adult and flegded juv ; Sand Martin - 12 ; Canada Goose - 15 - including 2 well-grown imms ; Little Egret - 1 - flew low towards city centre
