  • Aldwarke: Willow Warbler - 1 - singing from construction site
  • Aldwarke; Waddington Way: Whitethroat - 1 - singing ; Pied Wagtail - 2 - over
  • Bell Ground, Tankerskey: Willow Warbler - 1 - Brief song ; Song Thrush - 1 - Singing with some Nightingale content ; Little Ringed Plover - 2 - Standing on higher concrete intersection calling due to area being flooded ; 320 - 2 - Female/juvenile/ moult plumage ; House Martin - 3 ; Swift - 1 ; Stock Dove - 1 ; Yellowhammer - 1
  • Brincliffe Edge: Chiffchaff - 1+ - Singing all day for last two days apart from storms

  • Millhouses Park: Mandarin - 4 - Female and three fully grown juvs. ; Moorhen - 1+ - Adult and two recently hatched chicks. First evidence of breeding in the park this year.
  • Parkgate Canal Basin: Mute Swan - 6 - adults ; Mallard - 15
  • Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Chiffchaff - 3 - 1 singing ; Blackcap - 1 - singing ; Blue Tit - c10 - post-breeding flock
  • Parkgate; Don Canal: Whitethroat - 2 - 1 by Eastwood Lock (SK4494); female scolding (probable nest) on towpath (SK4394) ; Moorhen - 1 - calling ; Greenfinch - 1 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 2 - 1 singing; 1 anxious bird with juvs calling nearby ; Blackcap - 1+ - male singing + fledged juvs calling nearby ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing by towpath
