  • R Don, Effingham St: Great Tit - 1 - ad feeding 2+ chicks
  • Redmires conduit: Curlew - 7 - 6 adults circling over, 1 juvenile in horse fields
  • Slippery Stones: Woodcock - 1 - roding at dusk
  • Thrybergh CP: Little Egret - 1
  • Upper Common, Scholes: Sparrowhawk - 1 - female hunting low over wheat crop ; Swift - 10+ - low over fields ; Whitethroat - 1
  • Upper Derwentdale: Tawny Owl - 3p - chicks calling at 3 different sites on W side Ladybower-Howden Res after dark
  • Wortley: Long-tailed Tit - 57 - Large post-breeding group, mainly juvs, with BT, GT, WW and Nuthatch also ; Blue Tit - c20

  • Burbage Edge: Ring Ouzel - 1 - Aerial altercation with a Kestrel over S part of the edge.
  • Cavendish Mill: Rook - 80 - c. in fields
  • Derwent Edge: Whinchat - 3 - A juvenile above Cutthroat Bridge and a male and female likely feeding a nest in a Bracken field below Derwent Edge ; Stonechat - 10 - 10+ with 4 juveniles ; Meadow Pipit - 20 ; Tree Pipit - 2 ; Linnet - 4 - At least 2 juveniles seen ; Siskin - 3 - 2 males and juvenile near Cutthroat bridge ; Kestrel - 2 ; 319 - 2 ; Red Grouse - 1
  • Dog Kennel Pond: Kestrel - 1 - male ; Great Crested Grebe - 1+ ; Greylag Goose - 1+ ; Mallard - 1+ ; Coot - 1+ ; Moorhen - 1+ - including adult carrying food across lily pads ; Black-headed Gull - 2 ; Sand Martin - 1 ; Swallow - c30 ; Grey Wagtail - 1+

  • Roundwood Ponds: Cormorant - 6 - max, on pylon overlooking ponds
  • RVCP: 320 - 2 ; Black-headed Gull - 140 ; Sand Martin - 150 ; Shoveler - 3 ; Egyptian Goose - 3
  • Scholes Coppice: 319 - 1+ - one low through wood, with calls heard also, possibly juvs?
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Siskin - 1 - Calling above entrance gate. ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Flew from Pit Top into woods next to Woodlaithes.
