Stone Moor/Stocksbridge: Lapwing - 4 ; Curlew - 3 ; Skylark - 8+ - many singing in flight ; Meadow Pipit - 06-Oct - some perched on walls others with full bills on heather ; Linnet - 3 ; Willow Warbler - 10+ - mainly in old woodland singing ; Chiffchaff - 06-Aug - as W. Warbler ; Chaffinch - 04-May ; Blue Tit - 3 ; Great Tit - 1 ; Cuckoo - 1 - calling from conifer on edge of wood ; Rook - 40+ - feeding in field with cattle ; Jackdaw - 15+ - with rooks ; Carrion Crow - 1 - foraging on now very well worn path from Trig point ; 324 - 3 - Other wildlife 3 Hares 3 Wall &Several Small Heath Butterflies

West Nab: Lapwing - 3 - 2 adults with 1 chick. With very little cover due to sheep grazing the outlook doesn't look very good.

West Wood, Tankersley: Green Woodpecker - 1 - Seen and heard yaffling frequently

Wharncliffe Chase (south): Nightjar - 1+

Wharncliffe Side: Greenfinch - 4 - 2 adults with 2 juveniles in observers garden

Wharncliffe Wood: Woodcock - 6+ - roding

Whitwell Moor: Spotted Flycatcher - 1 ; Song Thrush - 3 - Singing ; Blackcap - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 1

Wire Mill Dam: Mandarin - 12 - Including 9 ducklings foraging on the lily pads.

Greystones garden: Blackbird - 3 - 1 Juvenile

Leadmill Bridge: Red Kite - 1 - soaring quite low

Loxley Recreation Ground: Little Owl - 1 - sitting on a bench in the playground

Meersbrook Park: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1

Middleton Moor: Ringed Plover - 2 ; Lapwing - 30

Moorland Fringe: Nightjar - 9 - from 5 different sites, 7 churring males.

Norton Lees garden: Dunnock - 5 - 2 adults, 3 juveniles

Norwood Allotments: Red Kite - 1 - moving north with two lesser black backed gulls chasing, then drifted south west when the gulls left off.

Orgreave Lakes: BLACK-NECKED GREBE - 1 - Still present ; Garganey - 1 - Drake on Big Lake from 06:30.
