• Morley Pond: Tufted Duck - 8 - 4 pairs ; Moorhen - 2 - 1 pair ; Coot - 6 - inc family party with 2 recently fledged, also adult with aggresive posture toward Moorhens ; Swift - 20+ ; Swallow - 1+ ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 2 - singing ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Long-tailed Tit - 4+ - family party ; Blue Tit - 1+ - adults and juvs ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing ; Reed Bunting - 1 - singing from N side
• Oaking Clough: Golden Plover - 1 - accidentally flushed from nest near Oaking Clough plantation ; Crossbill - 1 - in Oaking Clough plantation
• Orgreave Lakes: Ringed Plover - 2
• Padley Gorge: Pied Flycatcher - 7 ; Spotted Flycatcher - 1 ; Redstart - 1 ; Wood Warbler - 1 ; Willow Warbler - 6 ; Treecreeper - 2 ; Coal Tit - 1 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Dipper - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Jay - 1 ; Pied Flycatcher - 10 - 7 individual males noted on separate territories ; Cuckoo - 1 - Cuckoo calling from north at 19.45 approx ; Red Kite - 1 - Flew from Burbage direction towards Grindleford at around 100ft altitude ; Tawny Owl - 1 - large adult in flight ; Nuthatch - 6 + - Very recently fledged family 2 adults and 4+ fledglings ; Blackbird - 4+ - male and female with 2+ fledged young ; Spotted Flycatcher - 2 ; Jay - 2 ; Swift - 2 - feeding low over treetops ; Swallow - 1 - hunting over treetops/brook ; Curlew - 1 ; Robin - 2 - both parents taking food to nest or fledglings close to ground in bracken ; Great Tit - 2+ - Adult with fledged young ; Blue Tit - 1 ; Wren - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 2 - singing males ; Song Thrush - 2 - Singing Males ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Treecreeper - 2 + - 2 feeding together, probable breeding, suspect could hear chicks somewhere in nearby tree ; Grey Wagtail - 4+ - 2 pairs ; Carrion Crow - 2 ; Jackdaw - 1

• R Don, Effingham St: Great Black-backed Gull - 1 - 2cy on weir, first here for a while ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - 3cy
• Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: House Sparrow - 3 - picking aphids from roses in evening ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing
• Redmires Res: Cormorant - 1 - flew W ; Kestrel - 1 - male ; Tufted Duck - 2 - males ; Mallard - 6 - inc female with 5 young ; Oystercatcher - 5 - Two displaying pairs and a single bird ; Common Sandpiper - 8 - 4 pairs with at least 3 of them guarding young ; Curlew - 4 ; Snipe - 5 - pairs - 2 south side of Middle Res + 3 along conduit ; Moorhen - 1 - Ad still on nest in willows by Top Res ; Starling - 100 - c. Post-breeding flock of mostly juvs - no pink ones sadly ; Wood Warbler - 2 - singing males in Redmires Plantation - unprecedented ! ; Whitethroat - 2 - singing ; Tawny Owl - 1 - Ad sat out in the open on fence post ; Mistle Thrush - 12 - post-breeding flock ; Black-headed Gull - 2 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 25 - Inc 10 W ; Herring Gull - 4 ; Grasshopper Warbler - 1 - reeling ; Stonechat - 3 - Fresh juvs by Top Res ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 3 - family party by nest hole on Top Res ; Swallow - 10 - inc pair around bridge on Top Res ; Swift - 6
• Redmires Top Res: Common Sandpiper - 3 - ! adult with 2 chicks ( 3 on 6th June) ; Moorhen - 1 - adult still present - feeding along N edge of res ; Mallard - 8+ - included 3 broods (3 small chicks and total of 10 half-grown) ; Canada Goose - 2+ - pair and at least 5 well-grown juvs among willows (were 9)
