Aldwarke; Liberty Steel: Cormorant - 2 - on pylon ; Peregrine - 1 - adult onto chimney @ 0728hrs with several hunting forays, one successful, returning to chimney to feed.

Brightside: Ring-necked Parakeet - 2+ - again calling very loudly in trees near Royal Mail sorting office on Brightside Lane. at 06:10 ; Ring-necked Parakeet - 40+ - Coming into roost most evenings now in trees on Brightside Lane and Brightside Way.

Cressbrook Dale: Redstart - 3 ; 319 - 4 ; Green Woodpecker - 1

Ewden Height: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - SE ; Meadow Pipit - c200 - South 6.15-8.25 on a broad front. ; Lesser Redpoll - 33 - 32 south ; House Martin - 31 - S ; Stock Dove - 3 - SW ; Siskin - 70 - 64 south ; Swallow - 14 - S ; Goldfinch - 77 - 62 south, 15 north ; Chaffinch - 21 - S ; Grey Wagtail - 2 - S ; Pied Wagtail - 2 - S ; Linnet - 10 - S ; Starling - 8 - SSW ; Greylag Goose - c180 - Initially picked up in flight to the north in Green Moor area where they may have been feeding in fields. Then flew west towards Langsett. 30 split and headed south before 8 returned north.
