• High Green: Golden Plover - 3 - North over estate following a spell of snowfall at 15.15. Garden tick!
• Kimberworth: Greenfinch - 1 - Feeding on garden sunflower hearts feeder. Infrequent visitor to the feeder.
• Mayfield Valley: Pink-footed Goose - c.410 - Skeins of c.300, 40 and 70 NW between 12:30 and 13:00 ; 324 - 2 - Jessed Harris Hawks being flown over fields ; 319 - 1 ; Nuthatch - 1 - On feeders at bottom of David Lane ; Pink-footed Goose - c.410 - Photo of small skein

• Orgreave Lakes: Kingfisher - 2 - a pair around river bridge. ; Pink-footed Goose - c.41 - flock of c.34 NW late afternoon rapidly followed by a skein SE counted at 41 at similar height; quite possibly the same flock on both occasions. ; Grey Partridge - 11 - single covey. ; Snipe - Dec-13 - around small lake and island. ; Meadow Pipit - 5+ ; Skylark - 2 - on island. ; Water Pipit - 0 - no sign around island and small lake mid-late afternoon but viewing conditions far from ideal (snow showers). ; Fieldfare - 11+ - at least 11 around the site. ; Common Gull - 1 ; Linnet - 1 ; Goosander - 20 - at dusk. ; Water Pipit - 1 - Again on east shore ; Stonechat - 2 ; Grey Partridge - 1 ; Stonechat - 1 - Female ; Greenfinch - 2 ; Wigeon - 64 ; Pochard - 119
• Parkgate Canal Basin: Cormorant - 2 - circled & left NE @ 0810hrs ; Herring Gull - 300+ - attracted by swan feeding & loafing on Forge Way. At least 2 colour-ringed birds but difficult to view, packed closely on corrugated metal roof at SK430940 ; Mute Swan - 88 - inc 12 2cy ; Mallard - 5 ; Great Black-backed Gull - 60+ - with HGs ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - over ; Stock Dove - 1 - over ; CASPIAN GULL - 1 - 1st W/2cy present on water with HGs. A small (presumably female) individual. ; Black-headed Gull - c90

• Silverwood Lagoon: Short-eared Owl - 1 - elusive bird still present
• Sir William Hill: Fieldfare - 100 ; Redwing - 50 - Feeding in field by rough track at top in snowstorm
