  • Barlow Common: Little Owl - 1 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Redwing - 2 ; Bullfinch - 1 ; Kestrel - 1
  • Brightside Lane: Ring-necked Parakeet - c40 - roosting Brightside Lane
  • Brownhills Lane: Greylag Goose - 54 - 22 in fields joined by several other parties from N-NW late morning. No other species among them. ; Common Gull - 2 - adults in sheep fields
  • Fulwood: Blackcap - 1 - female again at feeders eating sunflower hearts. Dominant bird, seeing off Goldfinches, Greenfinches and Bullfinch.
  • Green Moor: Tree Sparrow - 9
  • Greystones: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Circling over observer's garden ; Redwing - 1 - OG ; Song Thrush - 1 - OG
  • Handsworth: Siskin - 1 - male on feeder ; Blackbird - 12 - 3 redwing and 1 fieldfare feeding in crab apple tree
  • Kimberworth Park: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Male, N along Shearman Avenue at rooftop height.
  • Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Greylag Goose - 97+ - Others heard calling but out of sight ; Crossbill - 2 ; 319 - 4 ; Kestrel - 3 ; Jay - 3 ; Coal Tit - 5 ; Redwing - c30 ; Fieldfare - c20 ; Goldfinch - c30 ; Siskin - 1 ; Pink-footed Goose - 2 - one lame ; Carrion Crow - 1 ; 319 - 1 ; Lesser Redpoll - 8 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Pink-footed Goose - 1 - Bird with an injured leg, but able to fly, feeding with Greylags.
