  • Ewden Height: Redwing - 10+ ; Stonechat - Pair ; Goldcrest - 1
  • Fulwood garden: Goldcrest - 2 - Plus long tailed tit flock.
  • Greystones garden: Redwing - 1 - In observer's garden ; Song Thrush - 1
  • Howden Res: Fieldfare - 50 ; Kestrel - 1

  • Waterthorpe: Starling - 30+ - Flock arrive each morning for mealworms and raisins. ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - Chased starlings into the garden.

Thursday 20th October 2022

  • Damflask Res: Cormorant - 4 ; Jay - 1
  • Handsworth garden: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Female, failed attempt at feeders ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - On flat garage roof
  • Norton Lees: Redwing - 3 - Feeding on hawthorn berries
  • Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Tawny Owl - 1 - male calling between 1200-0200hrs ; Chaffinch - 1 - male in garden ; Dunnock - 3 - together in garden
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Fieldfare - 2 - in southern paddocks
  • Sothall: Dunlin - 3+ - single nocmig recorded at 0329hr, followed by what sounded like a sizeable flock that took over a minute to pass at 0400hr. ; Redwing - 65+ - nocmig recorded calls overnight ; Blackbird - 5+ - nocmig recorded calls overnight
