Norfolk Park: Jackdaw - c6 - Three, perhaps four nests in Park Grange Rd. tram route light fittings. Sticks sticking out from under light canopy plus 50 or so sticks fallen beneath one of the nests. ; Blue Tit - 1 - In Ash tree in Park Grange Rd., entering a hole in with mossy nest material.

Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Blackbird - 1pr+ - feeding 1+ recently fledged juvs ; Chaffinch - 1 - pristine male drinking from bird bath; still an uncommon garden visitor here

Redmires Res: Greylag Goose - 12 - in fields ; Mallard - 6 - inc 2 females with 9 and 5 young respectively ; Herring Gull - 28 - 2 on Middle Res + 26 which arrived from the E in one flock ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 3 - arrived from E with HGs ; Common Sandpiper - 4 ; Tree Pipit - 1 - singing in Fairthorn Clough ; Redstart - 2 - singing males ; Grey Wagtail - 2 ; Moorhen - 1 - heard on Top Res ; Stonechat - 1 - female alarming on Middle Res

Bingham Park: Wren - 1 - singing ; Moorhen - 2 - pair at nest on lower pond, though apparently empty ; Mallard - 2+ - females with 3 small chicks on lower pond and 6 small chicks on Shepherd Wheel ; Black-headed Gull - 2 - adults successfully fishing sticklebacks from lower pond ; Jay - 2 - convincing mimicry of Buzzard's mewing call ; Stock Dove - 1 - singing male ; Mistle Thrush - 2 - pair repeatedly mobbing Crow - presumed nest by lower pond
