• Nether Green: Great Tit - 5+ - 4/5 young fledged from garden nest box, with single adult (other adult disappeared 2 days before fledging) ; Swift - 2 - first of the year
• Orgreave Lakes: Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Starling - c30 - My 1st flegged juv being fed by adult on the plains ; Wheatear - 1 - Greenland type ; Chiffchaff - 3 - Singing ; Willow Warbler - 2 - Singing ; Tufted Duck - 4 ; Black-headed Gull - 12+ ; Great Crested Grebe - 10 - 1 still on nest on island ; Redshank - 1 ; Greylag Goose - 15 - 7 Goslings ; Reed Bunting - 5 ; 319 - 2 - Together ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 11 ; Swift - 8 ; Kestrel - 3 ; Lapwing - 4 ; Wigeon - 1 ; Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Gadwall - 2 ; Oystercatcher - 1 ; Whitethroat - 3 - Singing ; Skylark - 3 - Singing ; Mute Swan - 25+ - 3 cygnets on island in nest ; Canada Goose - 30+ - 13 Goslings ; Mallard - 8+ - 7 Ducklings, reasonably well grown

• Parkgate: House Martin - 3 - around Westfield Road ; Starling - breeding confirmed - adults with first fledged juvs ; Swift - 15-20 - max over by mid-morning before dispersing
• Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Greenfinch - 1 - singing ; Chaffinch - 3 - inc 2 singing ; Bullfinch - 1pr ; Long-tailed Tit - 2 ; Linnet - 6 - 5 W; 1 N ; Stock Dove - 2 - singles W ; Herring Gull - 1 - W ; Jay - 2 - low over, apparently carrying food towards golf course, giving a weird, quiet, 'clucking' trisyllabic 'ooo-oo-oo' call!? ; Swallow - 1 - N ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Blackcap - 1 - singing ; Peregrine - 1 - adult m (Aldwarke bird), made unsuccessful pass at pigeon directly overhead @ 0940hrs, so close I could hear it as it pulled out of stoop; circled up & away over Aldwarke.

• Wharncliffe Heath NR: Pied Flycatcher - 10+ - singing males, 4 active nests ; Tree Pipit - 4 ; Nuthatch - 5+ - 3 nests in boxes ; Blue Tit - 100+ - 61 nests in boxes ; Great Tit - 50+ - 37 nests in boxes
• Wisewood: 324 - 2 - Common Peafowl. Male & female. On roof of house at Studfield Crescent
