Wharncliffe Side: Oystercatcher - 2 - Flew south over observers garden

Woodhouse Tip: Grasshopper Warbler - 2 - 1 male singing and 1 juv caught and ringed. ; Yellow Wagtail - 1 - Flying north calling.

Bramley: Black-headed Gull - 4 - Over calling appeared to be juvs begging parents. ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - Adult over.

Firsby Res: Pheasant - 1 - Male. ; Stock Dove - 2 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 ; Reed Warbler - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1 - Singing. ; Whitethroat - 5+ - Along Hedgerows. ; Yellowhammer - 2 - Singing Males. ; Chaffinch - 1 - Female. ; Goldfinch - 5 ; Swallow - 4 - On wires near houses. ; House Martin - 20+ - Over cottage and site. ; Swift - 2

Flanderwell: Red Kite - 1 - over SW towards Listerdale

Kimberworth: 319 - 1 - Soaring quite low over Wilton Court/Bradgate Park area. First time seen this close overhead near the house.

Kiverton Park: Swift - 50+ - Feeding along the length of Wales Road.

Wadsley Common garden: Swallow - 10+ - 4 fledglings left the outbuilding in the morning. Late evening at least 10 birds including juveniles entered the same outbuilding to roost.

Dore: Jay - 1+ - ad feeding 2 juvs in observer’s garden

Ecclesfield Park: 319 - 1 - Circling and drifting east, mobbed by 4 Lesser Black-backed Gulls

Langsett Res: Common Scoter - 1 - Drake still present ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 191 - 08:15 - majority sub-adults with more constantly arriving from the east throughout. ; Common Sandpiper - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 9 - Pair with 2 juvs on overflow plus several more adults.

Malin Bridge: Swift - 50+ - 50+ screaming above Norris road.. ; House Sparrow - 10 - inc chicks in garden.

Meadow Head: Ring-necked Parakeet - 1 - flew over Morrisons car park
