Ecclesfield: 319 - 1 - Very low hunting over Dearden Court, High Street at 07:25.

Greasbrough: Pink-footed Goose - c60 - Calling, flying east at 09:55 ; 319 - 3 - Calling circling high over Town Lane 11:30 ; Kestrel - 1 - Among Buzzards then moved north

Green Moor: Pink-footed Goose - c100 - All east in three skeins; 50 at 09:14, 20 at 09:17 and 30 at 10:20

R Loxley, Hillsborough: Dipper - 3 - Feeding close together near Langsett Road bridge

Rawmarsh Cemetery: Tawny Owl - 02-Mar - male calling on two occasions early morning with 1-2 others more distant

Rawmarsh; High Street: Common Buzzard - 1 - soaring over @ 1610hrs; left high to NW

Sheffield Centre: Pied Wagtail - 8+ - 8-10 flying and calling by The Hub where there has previously been a winter roost - perhaps more birds inside trees

Silverwood Lagoon: Pink-footed Goose - 80 - east at 09:15

Sothall: Redwing - 1 - nocmig sound recorded 2202hr

Walkley: Pink-footed Goose - 20+ - Calling headed west in dark at 19:40, unseen

Ecclesfield Dam: 319 - 2 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - 5 - Osprey negative from 08:00-12:30! £4 charge from bailiff

Frecheville: Pink-footed Goose - 50 - Approx 50 NE at 09:50

High Green: Swallow - 1

Limb Valley: Chiffchaff - 8+ - At least 8 between the Ecclesall Road South entrance and Lady Canning's Plantation.

Millhouses Park: Dipper - 1 - My first in the park this year. Perched on a rock then flew downstream. No attempt to forage in the river. Only my third anywhere along the Sheaf this year. I think the river is in serious trouble for many reasons.

Northfield, Rotherham: Sparrowhawk - 1 - over Rawmarsh Road towards canal basin @ 1245hrs

Rawmarsh Cemetery: Tawny Owl - 1 - male, calling around 0135hrs and again around 2255hrs

Silver Wood: Pink-footed Goose - 45 - SE at 08.05 ; Raven - 1 - calling bird NE at 08.20 ; Skylark - c.20 - in stubble either side of access track to Pingle Lane Tip ; Grey Heron - 1 - on Woodlaithes duckpond

Silverwood Lagoon: Barn Owl - 1 - hunting at dawn ; Water Rail - 1 - calling in eastern seedbed early morning

Sothall: Redwing - 1 - nocmig sound recorded 2200hr

Ecclesfield Dam: Osprey - 1 - 11:56-12:17 -,three unsuccessful hunting dives. Flew away high south.

Roughwood Rec: Corvid - 20+ - mix at east end of field ; Magpie - 12 - feeding together at est end of field
