  • Rivelin Valley: Fieldfare - 12 - In fields next to Coppice Farm. ; Redwing - 34 - Flew West over Coppice Lane
  • Ronksley Hall Farm: Sparrowhawk - 1 - hunting low over farm track and adjoining fields
  • RVCP: Whooper Swan - 6 - Party NNW ; Gadwall - 117 ; Goldeneye - 29 ; Tufted Duck - 140 ; Wigeon - 160 ; Shoveler - 11

  • Birley Edge: Pink-footed Goose - 305 - Flew WNW in 4 skeins at 09:30
  • Bleaklow: SNOW BUNTING - 6 - Just outside our recording area at Wain Stones N of Snake Summit, 6 feeding for 1 hour then flew N around 1:30pm high and out of sight.
  • Burbage - Green Drive: Kestrel - 1 ; Red Grouse - 1
  • Callow Bank: Kestrel - 1
  • Crosspool: Waxwing - 1 - feeding in tree by bus stop - early afternoon
  • Dronfield: Nuthatch - 2 - Near Golf Club
  • Ecclesall: Common Buzzard - 1 - flew low to NW over Ansell Road chased by corvids
  • Grange Park Golf Course: Kestrel - 1 - male ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - hunting, low through Brick Kiln Plantation ; Meadow Pipit - 4 - up from grass onto barbwire fence, S edge of Watson's Tip ; Dunnock - 1 ; Robin - 2+ ; Blackbird - 1+ ; Redwing - 1+ - calls from Walkworth Wood ; Coal Tit - 1 - singing, Brick Kiln Plantation ; Blue Tit - 1+ - several singing ; Great Tit - 1+ - at least 1 singing ; Nuthatch - 2+ - some taking suet pellets in Brick Kiln Plantation ; Magpie - 2+ ; Carrion Crow - 1+ ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing from Brown Spring ; Goldfinch - 2+

  • Orgreave Lakes: Great Black-backed Gull - 64 - All birds still on main lake. at 17:00 ; Lesser Redpoll - 18 ; Herring Gull - 423 ; Common Gull - 2 ; CASPIAN GULL - 1 - 1st winter video on WhatsApp. ; Black-headed Gull - c400 ; Pochard - 142 ; Coot - 109 ; Tufted Duck - 56 ; Goldeneye - 3 - 2 males, 1 RH ; Goosander - 21 - Came in to roost.
  • Padley Gorge: Nuthatch - 1 ; Goldcrest - 1 ; Coal Tit - 2
  • Porter Brook: Dipper - 2 - Feeding just upstream of Oakbrook Road crossing.
  • R Derwent, Leadmill - Padley: 321 - 2 - 2 singles ; Goosander - 3 - in flight ; Tawny Owl - 1 - heard
  • R Sheaf, Archer Rd: Dipper - 1 - between Norton Hammer and Archer Rd
  • Ramsley Moor: Stonechat - 2 - a pair
  • Rawmarsh: Jackdaw - 19 - flock of 17 E @ 1210hrs; 2 NW a little later ; Lapwing - 1 - SE
  • Redmires Bottom Res: Whooper Swan - 7 - 6 ads, 1 juv at 10:00, still present at 12:00, but no sign late afternoon.
  • Rivelin Valley: Mandarin - 2 - pair on river between Swallow Wheel Dam and Wolf Wheel Dam ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - drumming in Roscoe Plantation
