Kimberworth Park: Goldcrest - 1 - singing from conifers @ Forty Martyrs

Mayfield Valley: Sparrowhawk - 1 - soaring ; Kestrel - 2 - pair interacting noisily, presumed courtship ; Redwing - 20 ; Great Black-backed Gull - 1 - adult S with a Herring Gull

Millhouses Lane garden: Blackcap - 1 - female visiting suet ball feeders briefly

Nether Hall: Canada Goose - 77 - Mostly in pairs grazing in fields by Derwent also 60+ lambs ; Pheasant - 06-Jul ; Wren - 1

Norfolk Heritage Park: Chiffchaff - 2+ - feeding on insects on pussy willow blossom, at least one, probably two of them singing ; Greenfinch - 2 - singing males ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - overhead, ; 319 - 2 - pair

Orgreave Lakes: Cetti's Warbler - 1 - along river ; SNOW BUNTING - 1 - on north shore among Pipits and Skylarks and earlier on tip ; SNOW BUNTING - 1 - still feeding on NW soil mound at 10.30 ; SNOW BUNTING - 1

Owlthorpe: Mandarin - 2 - A pair seen on Owlthorpe Fields wetland area.

Pebley Pond: Brambling - 4+ - in mixed passerine flock

Ravenfield Park: Whitethroat - 1 - Calling from entrance gate hedge at 9:00AM.

Redmires Res: Tufted Duck - 2 ; 320 - 8 ; Lapwing - 40 - c. ; Curlew - 8 ; Stonechat - 2 - pair - male singing by Middle Res + female in suitable breeding habitat ; Redwing - 100 - flew W ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing by Middle Res - newly arrived and my earliest ever here

RVCP, Main Lake: Barnacle Goose - 1 - single bird on several days through to 17/04

Silver Wood: Chiffchaff - 6 - 4 singing along length of disused r/way line, 1 singing Pingle Lane Tip, 1 singing southern edge of main woods

Silverwood Lagoon: Sand Martin - 1 - unusual to get one of the earlier ones here ; Chiffchaff - 4 - 4 singing around pit top
