  • Holmebrook Valley Park: Chiffchaff - 4 - all singing ; Siskin - 3 ; Bullfinch - 3 ; Redwing - 120
  • Howbrook Dam, High Green: Cormorant - 12 on pylon
  • Langsett Res: Oystercatcher - 5 - 2 pairs + single, 1 pr copulating
  • Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Snipe - 2 chipping ; Stock Dove - 1 ; Lapwing - c20 ; Curlew - 5
  • Malin Bridge: Blackcap - 1 - male in gardens giving subsong and feeding on privet berries.
  • Middleton Moor: 320 - 7 ; Goosander - 4 ; Greylag Goose - 2 ; Golden Plover - 1 ; Redshank - 1 ; Curlew - 69 ; Common Gull - 720 - on water but many left at 18:10 and flew due north
