• Forge Dam: Rook - 20+ - Gathering near the rookery
• Greystones garden: Blackcap - 1 - Male in observer's garden
• Holmebrook Valley Park: Chiffchaff - 4 - all singing ; Siskin - 3 ; Bullfinch - 3 ; Redwing - 120
• Howbrook Dam, High Green: Cormorant - 12 on pylon
• Langsett Res: Oystercatcher - 5 - 2 pairs + single, 1 pr copulating
• Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Snipe - 2 chipping ; Stock Dove - 1 ; Lapwing - c20 ; Curlew - 5
• Malin Bridge: Blackcap - 1 - male in gardens giving subsong and feeding on privet berries.
• Middleton Moor: 320 - 7 ; Goosander - 4 ; Greylag Goose - 2 ; Golden Plover - 1 ; Redshank - 1 ; Curlew - 69 ; Common Gull - 720 - on water but many left at 18:10 and flew due north
• Midhope Res: Whooper Swan - 23 - 8.15 Came up the valley from Stocksbridge, circled then headed NW ; Oystercatcher - 3 - Pair plus 1 left towards Langsett ; Sparrowhawk - 3 - Large female circling over res plus 2 more towards Midhopestones. ; Reed Bunting - 2 ; Curlew - 7 ; Mistle Thrush - 4 ; Lapwing - 1 ; Lesser Redpoll - 3 ; Song Thrush - 3 singing ; Tufted Duck - 6 - 4 male, 2 female ; Meadow Pipit - 2+ ; Common Gull - 1 SE ; Chiffchaff - 2 singing ; Linnet - 7 - 1 singing ; Little Grebe - 1 trilling ; Canada Goose - 30 ; Yellowhammer - 1 singing ; Raven - 1 NW

• R Don, Effingham St: Peregrine - 2 - pair circling over Bernard Rd incinerator 12:20 before heading towards town centre. ; Canada Goose - 3 - inc usual breeding pair, female nest prospecting on island. ; Goosander - 1 - redhead (2cy male)
