Wadsley Common garden: Tawny Owl - 1 - Hunting over garden at 11:00 for 10 minutes. Never seen one at this hour hunting although regularly heard at night.

Barber Booth: Ring Ouzel - 5+ - at least 5 males on slope to the south of Dalehead Bunkhouse ; Whooper Swan - 1 - single flying north east of Dalehead Bunkhouse ; Redstart - 1 - singing to the north of Dalehead Bunkhouse

Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 3 - 3 in the air together at 1300
