Wharncliffe Chase (south): Cuckoo - 1 - in rocky, brackenny area, frequently flying from one small birch songpost to another

Wharncliffe Wood: Wood Warbler - 1 - in beechwoods between car park and Broom Royd ; Tree Pipit - 1 - in oak at edge of wood, just N of Pales Wood ; Green Woodpecker - 1 - near edge of woods and chase

Agden Side: Tree Pipit - 1 - Singing near junction of Agden Side Road and Mortimer Road ; Cuckoo - 1 - Male flew down Agden Side then heard singing ; Willow Warbler - 3 - singing males ; Coal Tit - 2 ; Meadow Pipit - 3 ; Whitethroat - 3 - singing males ; Wren - 2 - singing males ; Red Kite - 1 - slowly flying down Agden Dike towards Agden Res. ; Kestrel - 1 - hover hunting ; Blackbird - 1 - singing male ; Tree Pipit - 1 - displaying male

Cinder Hills: 319 - 1 - high, circling and calling
