  • Langsett Wood: Pied Flycatcher - 01-Feb - singing ; Redstart - 1 - singing
  • Malin Bridge: Swift - 2 - First ones I've seen here this year.
  • Middleton Moor: Dunlin - 3 ; Ringed Plover - 2 ; Oystercatcher - 2 ; Shelduck - 1
  • Middlewood: Swift - 4+ - Entering eaves of 2 houses on Ganton Road

  • Midhopestones: Snipe - 1 - Silent display flight over fields at 7.45 in light rain. ; Curlew - 4

  • Ecclesfield: Red-legged Partridge - 2 - flushed from edge of Butterthwaite Lane at entrance to Butterthwaite farm.
  • Endcliffe Park: Dipper - 4+ - Two fledglings and parents still taking food to the nest.
  • Fulwood garden: Swift - 1 - over W - first of the year ; Hobby - 1 - over low W, a couple of minutes after the first Swift of the year
  • Hollow Meadows: Red Kite - 1 - Over A57 at 10:20
  • Kimberworth Park: Swift - 3 - over Remount Road
  • Malin Bridge: Swift - 3
  • Middleton Moor: Dunlin - 3 ; Ringed Plover - 2 ; Greylag Goose - 6 ; Canada Goose - 2 ; Tufted Duck - 5 ; 320 - 2 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 80+
