• Bramley - Flanderwell Avenue: Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - An afternoon garden bird watch produced - Circling high. ; Herring Gull - 2 - Over. ; Black-headed Gull - 5 ; 319 - 1 - Low over village. ; Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling from gardens at dusk. ; Swallow - 20+ - Feeding above largest party 8. ; House Martin - 20+ - Feeling above. Largest party 5.
• Broomhead Moor: WHITE-TAILED EAGLE - 1 - seen from Ewden Cabin flying towards area SW of Margery Hill at 13:25
• Cavendish Mill: Barn Owl - 1 - hunting by road junction
• Cowell Flat: Meadow Pipit - 2 ; Red Grouse - 9+ - in a single group ; Willow Warbler - 1 - singing
• Curbar Gap: Lapwing - 35 - in fields
• Firsby Res: Moorhen - 2 ; Coot - 1 ; Grey Heron - 1 ; Kingfisher - 1 - Still present. ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 2 - Over. ; Chiffchaff - 3 - 1 singing. ; Reed Warbler - 2 - Juvs calling in reeds. ; Bullfinch - 1 - Orange Juv. ; Treecreeper - 1 - Calling. ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - On dead tree. ; Jackdaw - 3 - Feeding amongst the sheep.
• Foxhill: Red Kite - 1 - Stanley Hill - flying south towards Wadsley Bridge ; Swallow - 6 - 5 + 1 mooching around, Edge Lane ; House Martin - 2
• Foxhill, Shaw Hill: House Martin - 2+ - Still around, feeding overhead
• Hillsborough Golf Course: Hobby - 1 - adult with prey over section of golf course west of Long Lane
• Holdworth: Hobby - 1 - near Haighenfield Farm
• Loxley Chase: Hobby - 1 - over fields near junction of West Lane and Loxley Road
• Middleton Moor: Greylag Goose - 6 ; Tufted Duck - 1 - female ; Mallard - 8 ; 320 - 22 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1130 - roosted - mostly in late from SW ; Yellow-legged Gull - 1 - ad with LBBs ; Black-headed Gull - 230 - c. roosted ; Common Buzzard - 2 - sat on dry stone walls ; Swallow - 40 - c. ; Pied Wagtail - 30 - c. on shoreline
• Moss Valley, lower: Sparrowhawk - 2 - males ; Jay - 1 ; 319 - 1
• Old Ravenfield- St James Church: Little Owl - 1 - Dead juv at side of path over farmland to Arbour Lane.
• Orgreave Lakes: Raven - 2 - flew NW at 09.50 ; Wigeon - 1 - male on big lake (possibly arrived with Canadas). ; 324 - 1 - Clouded Yellow butterfly on N bank
• Parkgate; *Banana* plantation: Stock Dove - 5 - feeding on recently burned area ; Swallow - 2 - S/SW ; Magpie - 7 - on recently burned area
• Parkgate; Barber*s Avenue: House Martin - 4 - over ; Goldfinch - c15 - flock, feeding in Horse Chestnut
• Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Common Buzzard - 1 - high to E @ 1100hrs ; Swallow - 06-Jul - noisy party, drifted S
• Redmires conduit: Spotted Flycatcher - 3 - flitting about into the bushes and over the field
• Rivelin Valley: Grey Heron - 1 - on river bank near Rivelin Fire Station
• Rocher Cliffs: Kestrel - 4 - flying about together
• Rocher Head: Redstart - 1 ; Robin - 3 ; Nuthatch - 2 ; Wren - 1 ; Coal Tit - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 1 ; Green Woodpecker - 1 ; Whinchat - 3 - along fenceline. ; Spotted Flycatcher - 2 - on fenceposts
