Rivelin Valley: Mandarin - 10 - 7 male, 3 female, on or near wooded shore of Wolf Wheel mill pond.

Thrybergh CP: Red-crested Pochard - 3 - 2 male 1 female ; Red-crested Pochard - 3 - 2m; 1f (record shot). Flushed by dog walkers @ 0810hrs but returned. ; Meadow Pipit - 2 - S ; Lapwing - 12 ; Grey Wagtail - 1 ; Canada Goose - c115 - inc c110 in ; Cormorant - 3 ; Mute Swan - c40 ; Herring Gull - c20 - max ; Black-headed Gull - c1000 - arrived in a stream from N after dawn, rested & filtered away S/SW. Max at one time 3-400. ; Gadwall - 11 ; Great Crested Grebe - 2 ; Common Gull - 4 - arrived with BH ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 4 ; Pochard - 8 ; Tufted Duck - c50 ; Moorhen - 16 ; Redwing - 25-30 ; Coot - 110+ ; Little Grebe - 3 ; Lesser Redpoll - 15 - two flocks ; Long-tailed Tit - c10 ; Song Thrush - 2 ; Skylark - 6 - over adjacent fields with occasional brief song
