  • Rotherham; Northfield: Rook - 10 - recycling centre ; Jackdaw - 15 - recycling centre ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - over ; Common Buzzard - 3 - over together @ 1230hrs, chasing & diving with much calling. Two 'lost', third drifted N/NW
  • Silver Wood: Mistle Thrush - 1 - singing in top woods near car park

  • Canklow Woods: Lesser Redpoll - c 40 - flock of c 40
  • Frecheville: Goosander - 5 - Frecheville Pond
  • Fulwood: Tawny Owl - 1 - perched in eucalyptus tree till dusk
  • Norton Lees: Sparrowhawk - 1 - Prob female only seen briefly
  • Silverwood Lagoon: Short-eared Owl - 1 - reported by a (reliable) dog-walker late morning
