Poolsbrook Marsh: Gadwall - 5 ; Green Woodpecker - 1 - male calling ; Willow Tit - 1 - calling behind main pool ; Long-tailed Tit - 8 ; Cormorant - 4 - on pylons ; Fieldfare - 15 - flew south ; Herring Gull - 180 - drifted south ; Great Black-backed Gull - 60 - drifted south

Ravenfield Church: Nuthatch - 2 - Pair flew from woodland into Fir tree in Church yard.

Rawmarsh: Pink-footed Goose - 34 - low to W @ 1035hrs ; Common Buzzard - 1 - NW @ 1225hrs ; Tawny Owl - 1 - male calling briefly around 2305hrs

Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Pink-footed Goose - 100+ - passed very low over house heading W @ 1510hrs (heard from indoors)

Redmires Bottom Res: Cormorant - 1 - Flying NE at 11:05; same or another at 12-59 heading NE again.

Redmires Middle Res: Lapwing - 80+ - Circling around, and landing frequently. ; Pied Wagtail - 1

Redmires Top Res: Black-headed Gull - 1160 - Roosted - my best count here ; Common Gull - 1 - Adult roosted with BHGs

Sir William Hill: Redwing - 30+

Totley Moor: SNOW BUNTING - 1 - still present 10.20-10.25hrs and (other than when flushed by mountain bikes) showing well on the track at SK 28080 79374 (just west of junction with path to Stoney Ridge)

Tyzack*s Dam: Wood Duck - 1 - female Wood Duck still present

Wadsley Common garden: Shelduck - 2 - Over west-first record here.

Wire Mill Dam: Fieldfare - 1 - male singing ; Mandarin - 18 - m + f

Baslow: Bullfinch - 4 - Two pairs visiting feeders ; Siskin - 2 - Pair visiting feeders

Botanical Gardens: Carrion Crow - 25+ - Including 15 feeding together near fossil tree

Brightside: Ring-necked Parakeet - 45-50 - Came to roost c16:05 ; 324 - 1 - Prob male Alexandrine Parakeet with ring-necks and poss female - twice size of rnp's.

Chatsworth Park: Brambling - 25+ - Feeding on beech mast with a few chaffinches

Deepcar garden: Siskin - 2 - first this year ; Greenfinch - 2 - feeding on black sunflower seeds ; Woodpigeon - 5 - feeding on sunflower hearts dropped by Goldfinches ; Goldfinch - 11 ; House Sparrow - 7 ; Dunnock - 1 ; Magpie - 2 ; Jackdaw - 5 ; Starling - 15+ - 15-20

Ecclesfield: Goose sp - 8 - Flying south west at 14.15

Green Moor: Redwing - 60+ - At least 60 in a single flock and feeding on farmland

Hillsborough Park: 320 - 1 - 1m ; Goosander - 1 - 1 redhead ; Coot - 20+ - 2 pairs nest-building

Leadmill Bridge: Canada Goose - c30 - Field near Leadmill Bridge

Lodge Moor: Bullfinch - 4 - 2 male 2 female coming to garden feeders

Middleton Moor: 320 - 65 ; Wigeon - 2 ; Mallard - 26 ; Canada Goose - 21 ; Lapwing - 210 ; Wigeon - 7

New Stubbin colliery/tip: Long-tailed Tit - 11 - single flock ; Yellowhammer - 1 ; Rook - 16 ; Jackdaw - c10 ; Redwing - 4 ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - over, drifted E ; Jay - 1

New Stubbin; Back Lane: Yellowhammer - c45 - single flock
