• Dog Kennel Pond: Woodpigeon - 30+ - feeding on ground on N side.
• Fulwood garden: Brambling - 1 - male at feeders coming into fine plumage; first for 6 weeks ; Dunnock - 2 - pair chasing and copulating ; 319 - 2 - interacting ; Siskin - 5 - at feeders ; Bullfinch - 2 - pair at feeders ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - dashed through
• Graves Park: Pheasant - 1 - a male flew out of trees by the path & over the park ; Tawny Owl - 1 - heard
• Hillsborough Park: Moorhen - 14 - my highest count here Jan-Mar ; Coot - 15 - my highest count here Jan-Mar. Much more numerous than they used to be
• Howbrook: Cormorant - 4 - On pylon ; Redwing - 2
• Langsett Res: Oystercatcher - 2 ; Black-headed Gull - 3400 - Photo count. Birds still arriving.
• Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Curlew - c40 - 16.4 ; Lapwing - c30 ; Curlew - 64 - A few more on the ground.
• Middle Common: Linnet - 60+
