Barnside Farm: Curlew - 47 - 16.30 Bathing in a flash in field, then all dispersed locally ; Snipe - 1 - chipping

Brightside: Blackbird - 1 - Female flew across Hawke Street carrying food.

Burbage Valley: Meadow Pipit - 5 - 1 parachuting ; Reed Bunting - 2 - Males ; Stonechat - 3

Chatsworth Park: Nuthatch - 3 ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Tawny Owl - 1 - daytime calling. ; Brambling - 10+ - Feeding under beeches ; Redwing - 4 - Under beeches with bramblings

Don Canal; Eastwood Lock: Ringed Plover - 1 - over calling but not located

Eastwood; Eldon Rd playing fields: Magpie - 9 - feeding together ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Black-headed Gull - 14 - feeding ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Redwing - c15 - in treetops

Ecclesall: Tawny Owl - 1 - calling and flying, Marsh House Road at 20:05

Ewden Height: Raven - 2 - Saw off a buzzard plus plenty of back of throat calls. ; Raven - 2 - Another pic ; 319 - 3 ; Meadow Pipit - 5+ - Parachute displays ; Lapwing - 30+ ; Skylark - 1 - singing ; Kestrel - 2 - a pair prospecting nest site ; Curlew - 30+ - Constant background noise of birds calling in display, wonderful.

Forge Dam: Ring-necked Parakeet - 4+ - 3 together around apparent nest hole and at least one more calling elsewhere

Fulwood garden: Brambling - 1 - female ; Greylag Goose - 1 - over N ; 319 - 3 - much interaction and roller-coasting display ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - soaring

Green Moor: Fieldfare - 6 ; Green Woodpecker - 1 ; Curlew - 1 - First one back on territory

Greystones garden: Siskin - 1 - Male on feeders in observer's garden

Hangingwater garden: Siskin - 1 - m. First for some years

Howbrook Dam: Cormorant - 9 - On pylon by A61 7.15

Hurlfield: Tawny Owl - 2 - Calling at 05:35 ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing this afternoon ; Siskin - 1 - male again on garden feeders.

Intake: Common Buzzard - 4 - 4 up together

Keppels Field: Kestrel - 1 - female, hunting

Killamarsh: Red Kite - 1 - Circling high overhead

Kirk Edge: Yellowhammer - 2 - pair on wall near convent.

Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Snipe - 3 - Chipping, display flights ; Lapwing - 30+

Manor Fields Park: Common Buzzard - 3 - Circling high over at 15:50 drifting West ; Kestrel - 1 - male hunting ; Song Thrush - 6 ; Chiffchaff - 4 - singing ; Blackbird - 14 - 9 males ; Robin - 6+ - min 6 singing around park ; Moorhen - 4 - on top pond ; Mallard - 2 - pair on top pond
