• Barley Hall: Long-tailed Tit - 4 - Party of 4,1 missing tail feathers. Another carrying feathers for nesting? Not the tail feathers!
• Barley Hole wood: Nuthatch - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing ; Long-tailed Tit - 2 ; Song Thrush - 1
• Canklow area: Chiffchaff - 5 - 5 singing in SK4291 area
• Canklow Woods: Blackcap - 1 - 1 singing ; Redwing - 12 ; Common Buzzard - 4 - 4 in the air together at 0900 ; Lesser Redpoll - c70 - 2 flocks of c50 and c20 ; 319 - 2 - Over woods with courtship display 13.40 ; Woodcock - 2 - roding this evening at bottom end

• Silver Wood: Chiffchaff - 3 - 2 singing r/way line, one singing woodland edge south of Hollings Lane
• Silverwood Lagoon: Curlew - 1 - NW at 09.05 ; Chiffchaff - 4 - singing ; Blackcap - 1 - singing below SW corner of lagoon. Exceptionally early for site this year.
• Sothall: Redwing - 4 - nocmig sound recorded between 0000-0300hr
• Stanage Edge, below: Meadow Pipit - 2+ ; Long-tailed Tit - 1 ; Song Thrush - 3
• Totley Rise: Tree Sparrow - 1 - At top of Hillfoot Road
• Underbank Res: Robin - 2+ - a pair feeding young in the nest! ; Coot - 3 ; Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Oystercatcher - 1 - west ; Curlew - 1 - west ; Chiffchaff - 2 ; Grey Wagtail - 2 - a pair
• Wadsley Common: Yellowhammer - 1 - singing (separate from the small numbers on Loxley Common)
