Silverwood Lagoon: Avocet - 3 - vociferous party 3 flew a circuit of lagoon at 09.05 then headed WSW ; Reed Warbler - 2 - singing ; Whitethroat - 6 - singing ; Greylag Goose - 4 - in briefly at 08.40, immediately chased off by resident male M Swan ; Green Woodpecker - 1 - Initially seen then heard for a good 20 minutes after. ; Willow Warbler - 6 - At least 6 heard in different locations around the lagoon and pit top.

Blacka Plantation: Pied Flycatcher - 2 - 2nd male in. Trying (unsuccessfully) to evict Blue Tit from nest ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - Excavating hole, then drumming.

Botanical Gardens: Chiffchaff - 1

Burbage Valley: Ring Ouzel - 4 - Two pairs flew down the valley calling, landed at Carl Wark with much interaction between the males before all four flew out of view.

Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 6 - 6 in the air together at 1000 ; Whitethroat - 1 - 1 singing

Clough, Scrub @ Brick Pit: Robin - 1+ - singing ; Dunnock - 2 - singing
