• Aldwarke: Garden Warbler - 1 - very showy bird singing from top of birch ; Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - singing
• Aldwarke; Liberty Steel: Cormorant - 2 - on pylon
• Arbourthorne: Pied Wagtail - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 1 - singing at side of pond ; Mallard - 7 - 5 drakes 2 females. ; Moorhen - 2 - a pair on pond 18:30 ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - single adult over pond and fields.
• Barbrook Plantation: Redstart - 2 ; Pied Flycatcher - 2 - 2 males ; Tree Pipit - 01-Feb ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Stonechat - 1 - on the moor a few yards from the plantation
• Barnside Moor: Curlew - 12 ; Swallow - c10
• Baslow Edge: Cuckoo - 1 - Calling
• Blacka Hill: Cuckoo - 1
• Blacka Moor: Whitethroat - 2 ; Willow Warbler - 10+ ; Swallow - 1 ; Treecreeper - 2
• Calver Sough: 324 - 11 - Red Deer in field near river - first time we’ve seen them here.
• Canklow Woods: Common Buzzard - 4 - in the air together at 1100 ; Whitethroat - 2 - singing
• Centenary Riverside: Blackcap - 4 - 3 singing + 1 female ; Whitethroat - 1 - singing ; Gadwall - 3 - 2m; 1f on river ; Moorhen - 3+ - #NAME? ; Chiffchaff - 3 - 2 singing + 1 with nest material ; Long-tailed Tit - c20 - flock comprising 2-3 pairs with recently fledged juvs ; Linnet - 1pr ; Stock Dove - 2 - over ; Willow Warbler - 1 - singing ; Mistle Thrush - 1pr - feeding together on grassland ; Jackdaw - 3 ; Reed Bunting - 1pr ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 1 - adult, W ; Mallard - 1 - drake on river ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing ; Robin - 1+ - adult (s) feeding 1+ fledged juv ; Grey Heron - 1 - in from NE ; Reed Warbler - 2 - singing; 1 in Phragmites; 1 in Buddleia by bridge

• Dog Kennel Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 3 - inc 1pr displaying - ' head shake' ; Mandarin - 2 - female with recently fledged chick, hugging S edge at W end, briefly leaving water as coot approached. ; Mallard - 1+ ; Moorhen - 1 ; Coot - 1+ - adult still on nest at W end in reeds. ; Black-headed Gull - 5 ; Stock Dove - 1 - singing, S side ; Woodpigeon - 1 - singing ; Sand Martin - 2 - at least 1 entering nest site. ; Wren - 1 ; Robin - 1 - singing, N side ; Blackbird - 1+ ; Mistle Thrush - 1 - carrying food to N side ; Chaffinch - 1 - 1 male ; Goldfinch - 1+ - singing
• Emlin Moor, Agden: Woodcock - 3 - roding at dusk. ; Swift - 1 - heading north @ 21.05 ; Cuckoo - 1 - heard calling from hollingdale area.
• Ewden Height: Cuckoo - 2 ; Raven - 1 ; Curlew - c15 - Very showy with several flying together calling ; Willow Warbler - 3 - singing ; Lapwing - 4 ; Kestrel - 1 ; Wheatear - 3 - 2 males and a female ; Goldcrest - 1 - singing ; Long-tailed Tit - 2 ; Linnet - 2 ; 319 - 1 ; Meadow Pipit - c30 - Several display ; Skylark - 1 ; Redstart - 1
• Firsby Res: Coot - 1 ; Moorhen - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 - Male. ; Swallow - 4 ; Swift - 3 - With Swallows first of the year ; Blackcap - 4 ; Whitethroat - 2 ; Chiffchaff - 3 ; Reed Warbler - 2 - Both singing. ; Willow Warbler - 2 ; Lesser Whitethroat - 1 - First of year. ; Blackbird - 1 - Nest with eggs
• Howden Res: Common Sandpiper - 6 ; Tree Pipit - 2 - Singing males
• Ickles; Riverside Way: Whitethroat - 1 - singing
• Jack Flat: Pied Flycatcher - 3 - Males, including one brown morph bird
• Kimberworth: Chaffinch - 2 - Pair feeding in the garden. Very scarce bird in this area - just the 1 pair seen regularly.
• Leash Fen: Grey Heron - 1 ; 319 - 1 ; Lapwing - 4+
