  • Agden Side: Tawny Owl - 1 - hunting from wall at dusk.
  • Blacka Moor: Cuckoo - 2 ; Stonechat - 1
  • Castle Dyke: Mallard - 1+ - Female with at least 3 small chicks on pond at entrance to sports pitches
  • Cowell Flat: Wheatear - 1 - female ; Stonechat - 2 - pair carrying food
  • Dukes Road: Linnet - 2 - adult with fledged juv. ; Golden Plover - 2 - pair alarm calling . ; Curlew - 3 - pair in territorial dispute with single bird. ; Red Grouse - 5 - singles alongside track.
  • Fulwood garden: Stock Dove - 1 - unusual here
  • Hammond*s Field: Moorhen - 1
  • Handsworth garden: Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling from grounds of Bramley Hall, at 11pm.
