  • Agden Side: Fieldfare - 80 - approx
  • Bolehiill Flash: Water Rail - 1
  • Catcliffe Flash: Cetti's Warbler - 1 - calling from scrapyard end of the flash.
  • Morley Pond: Great Crested Grebe - 1 ; Cormorant - 1 ; Mallard - 150+ ; Grey Heron - 1 ; 319 - 1 ; Kestrel - 1 - hunting N side, failed attempt ; Grey Wagtail - 2
  • Orgreave Lakes: Raven - 2
  • Orgreave Tip: Stonechat - 1 - Single bird just off footpath south of tip.
  • Rawmarsh; Rockcliffe Road: Grey Wagtail - 1 - over, calling ; Peregrine - 1 - adult male circling overhead @ 1045hrs; left E/SE ; Peregrine - 1 - adult male circling over @ 1045hrs; left E/SE ; Grey Wagtail - 1 - over ; Goldfinch - 7 - visiting gardens
  • Treeton Wood: Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1
  • Waverley: Golden Plover - 65 ; Lapwing - 8 ; Grey Partridge - 17 - in fields on other side of railway line

  • Hillsborough: Kingfisher - 1 - at Hillsborough corner
  • Hillsborough Park: Mute Swan - 5 - 3 imms and pair of adults ; Tufted Duck - 7 ; Goosander - 2 - male and redhead ; Mandarin - 2 - m & f ; Moorhen - 8 - 2 juvs ; Coot - c10
  • Kimberworth Park: 319 - 1 - S, low over Roughwood School @ 10:55, heading toward Hudson's Rough
  • Longshaw: Raven - 2
  • Longshaw pond: Mandarin - 19 - 10m,9f.Displaying.
  • Loxley Valley: Little Grebe - 1 - on Olive House Pond - my first here for years ; Kingfisher - 1 - by one-man bridge
  • Moorhall: Kestrel - 4 ; 319 - 3
  • Oughtibridge: Pink-footed Goose - c60 - flying high heading west @ 09.50.
  • Owlerton: Siskin - c50 - mobile flock drinking from river at the rear of Bassets.
  • Redmires Middle Res: Peregrine - 1 - adult perched on rocks in res basin
  • Redmires Res: Moorhen - 2 - ads still braving the Top Res ; Lapwing - 36 - roosted on Middle Res ; Curlew - 1 - roosted on Middle Res amongst Lapwings - late here ; Woodcock - 1 - arrived from the south at dusk and flew over Middle Res, along the dam wall and then into Redmires Plantation
