  • Hangingwater Allotments: Greenfinch - 2 - 2 males "singing" ; Mistle Thrush - 2 - pair feeding alongside Blackbird pair m&f
  • Hangingwater garden: Greenfinch - 1 - male singing in tall trees ; Carrion Crow - 6 - sitting in one tall tree
  • Hillsborough Park: Whooper Swan - 20+ - 2 groups of at least 7 and 13 low over Hillsborough stadium (nicely illuminated!) at 20.50 heading N
  • Hurlfield: Whooper Swan - 1+ - Heard only flying low over observers house at 20.42 calling
  • Killamarsh: Little Egret - 1 - On flood to east of River Rother near oxbow lake
  • Low Moor, Upper Midhope: Stonechat - 1 ; Greylag Goose - 68 ; Red Kite - 1 - showing off and on most of the afternoon. ; Curlew - 44+
  • Lower Bradfield: Chiffchaff - 1 - calling
  • Malin Bridge: House Sparrow - 15+ - bathing.15+
  • Manor Fields Park: Mallard - 6 - Three pair around park ; Moorhen - 5 ; Pied Wagtail - 1 ; Mistle Thrush - 2 ; Blackbird - 14 - mostly males ; Song Thrush - 6 ; Collared Dove - 2 ; Carrion Crow - 10+ ; Goldfinch - 20+ ; Greenfinch - 4 ; Bullfinch - 2
  • Middleton Moor: Canada Goose - 4 ; Greylag Goose - 2 ; Goosander - 2 - redheads ; Coot - 3 ; Lapwing - 230 - c. ; Snipe - 1 ; Curlew - 73 - roosted ; Lesser Black-backed Gull - 42 ; Common Gull - 60 - c. mostly off S ; Black-headed Gull - 50 - c. ; 320 - 11 ; Shelduck - 1 - arrived from E at 17:15 hrs ; Raven - 4 - displaying ; Skylark - 14 - flock in fields south of No.4 lagoon ; Starling - 150 - c. roosted ; Jackdaw - 140

  • Norfolk Heritage Park: Redwing - c20 - feeding on ground ; Blackbird - c10 - 2 females the rest male; one singing ; 319 - 2 ; Stock Dove - 3 - two singing males ; Woodpigeon - at least 30 - two singing males ; Wren - c8 - all singing ; Blue Tit - c10 - some territorial behaviour ; Robin - c7 - singing males ; Mistle Thrush - c8 - two singing males, the others feeding on ground ; Carrion Crow - 6 - at least one nest being built ; Magpie - c20 - mostly feeding on football pitch ; Pied Wagtail - 1 - feeding on football pitch ; Nuthatch - 3 - vocal ; Song Thrush - 1 ; Collared Dove - 1 ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 2 ; Great Tit - 4+ - 2 pairs seen ; Chaffinch - 1 - singing male ; Goldfinch - 2 - singing male ; Treecreeper - 1 ; Long-tailed Tit - at least 5 - in loose flock ; Dunnock - 2 - one singing male
  • Old Ravenfield.: 319 - 2 - Soaring over Pingle Lane Tip. ; Lapwing - 5 - Displaying ice fields between woods and Pingle Tip track. ; Mistle Thrush - 1 ; Greenfinch - 3 - On Garden Lane. ; Linnet - 6 ; Chaffinch - 6+ - Numerous singing along Arbour Lane.
  • Pebley Pond: White-fronted Goose - 1 - reported still present this morning
  • Porter Valley: Long-tailed Tit - 3+ - feeding and visiting suitable nest sites ; Grey Wagtail - 4+ - Pair m+f feeding in Shepheard Wheel outlet goit again. Also pair at Forge Dam on construction/habitat destruction site. ; Dipper - 2 - pair actively rebuilding traditional nest site after recent floods ; Song Thrush - 3 - 3 Singing males between Hangingwater Allotments and Wire Mill Dam ; Ring-necked Parakeet - 7+ - In addition to birds at established Forge Dam sites, birds now displaying and nest seeking further down the valley. ; Treecreeper - 3+ ; Nuthatch - 1 - Singing/Calling Forge Dam ; Sparrowhawk - 1 - male hunting Forge Dam, agitating the Rookery. 15+ Rooks. ; Goldcrest - 3+ - small loose group inc feeding female and singing male ; Mandarin - 10 - Wire Mill Dam, 7m 3f ; Mallard - 30+ - 20+ on Wire Mill Dam, 10+ on Forge Dam - birds have returned whilst construction/desturction work is halted by re-flooding from storms ; Great Tit - 12+ - Abundant singing and foraging ; Great Spotted Woodpecker - 1 - drumming in copse

  • Rawmarsh; Collier Brook Marsh: Cetti's Warbler - 1 - sang four times in 20mins; new Rotherham site. ; Reed Bunting - 2 - 1 singing ; Moorhen - 1 ; Water Rail - 1 - 'sharming' from typha. ; Kestrel - 1 - male, on adjacent pylon ; Song Thrush - 1 - singing from adjacent scrub
