R Don, Salmon Pastures: Swan sp - c5 - seen briefly heading E at 11:15 Salmon Pastures before losing them behind trees, ties in with the Ewden Whoopers. ; Long-tailed Tit - 6 ; Blue Tit - 2 ; Great Tit - 1 ; Chiffchaff - 2 - with tit flock ; Kingfisher - 1

Bassingthorpe Spring: Mistle Thrush - 2 - onto pylon ; Goldcrest - 1+ ; Nuthatch - 1 ; Treecreeper - 2

Burncross, Chapeltown: Tawny Owl - 1 - Calling 22.00, first one to be heard for a few years.

Rivelin Valley: Kingfisher - 1 - on river just below Hollins Bridge - my only sighting on the river this year although 1-2 have again been regular on the pond below our Malin Bridge garden during July-Nov
